Commitments to the local community

Hotel Eolia empowers Santa Marianita by prioritizing local employment and sustainable sourcing to drive regenerative community growth.

Eolia Boutique Hotel is a LEED® Registered project targeting certification

Eolia is currently in the process of obtaining LEED® certification for Building Design and Construction (BD+C): Hospitality – New Construction, as a registered project aiming to reach Silver level or higher. This reflects our commitment to sustainable design, resource efficiency, and the holistic well-being of those who visit and work with us.

Hotel Eolia was born with the conviction that hospitality can and must integrate responsibly with its natural surroundings. Located in Santa Marianita, an area that hosts a unique coastal-marine dry forest ecosystem native to Ecuador, the project was conceived from its early stages under a comprehensive environmental and minimal intervention approach. The architectural design seeks to minimize land alteration, preserve existing topography, and respect the natural dynamics of the site. Likewise, it takes advantage of the natural elements of the location to favor passive ventilation, optimize thermal comfort, and reduce dependence on mechanical systems, reinforcing an authentic and sustainable sensory experience for the guest.
