Beginings
hough Renato Solines studied law in Ecuador, he soon discovered that his passion and talents lay in entrepreneurship and business. Armed with a graduate degree in Business and Global Development, he and his wife, architect Veronica Reed, created an architecture, environmental design and research studio. Over some 15 years the pair then worked on various environmental design and community development projects, always setting extremely high environmental and social goals.
In 2011 the couple decided to preserve and fully renovate a family property owned by Renato’s grandmother Carlota. With great love and admiration for this wonderful and loving woman, the couple began working to restore the beautiful historical house that would become the Carlota Hotel which opened its doors in 2017. www.carlota.ec
In 2019 with all the experience and the hope to take this concept to other parts of Ecuador, they begin their project EOLIA, in a property acquired in 2006. During the pandemic they constantly explore new concepts for this new project and give life to a new vision of sustainable and regenerative tourism which will be the pioneer for the country and the region.
Location
Eolia is located in the Santa Marianita parish, in the province of Manabi, 15 minutes away from the city of Manta and 25 minutes away form the international airport of the city. Santa Marianita is considered like the area in the country with the best conditions for extreme wind sports such as windsurf, kiteboarding, which makes it a unique spot for a tourist development.
